Did anyone else receive a letter from "Michael Lordi" endorsing Joe Saladino?
How ironic...the letter talks about Mr. Saladino's fight against child predators and strengthening Megan's Law yet there was no return address on this letter and the envelope was addressed DIRECTLY to my child.
Where would they get my child's name from and why would they send the letter to a child? It's not like they can vote.

Interesting....
Maybe Mr. Saladino can come here at address that? He should also address why he was handing out a DVD at the Halloween parade last Saturday about child predators. Seemed a bit tacky and desperate!

His dedication and devotion to the youth of our community should be nothing but commended. The man is utterly tireless when it comes to giving back to Plainedge.
Dont know the answers to your other questions, but Mikes good name should not be sullied in any manner. Not saying that was the posts intention Go P, just shedding some light on the subject.

The letter had no return address information on it. It also made NO mention as to who Michael Lordi is. I don't appreciate him using the mailing list from the Bobcats organization for political purposes. My child didn't sign up to receive political letters or candidate information. That was a wrong move on his part....IMO.

It should have been thought out better and carried out in a more clearly defined manner. But, I'll give a guy like Mike a mulligan. We all need to use one once in a while.

Plainedge Community----
Tomorrow is election day, November 7, 2006. Once again, I am asking for your support in the State Assembly race in the 12th Assembly district.
My number one priority is to lower your property taxes! The biggest problem we have is our school taxes which is 65% of your tax bill. One of the main reasons for the high school taxes is we do not receive our fair share of state aid from Albany. The formula takes real property values too much into account and doesn't take the regional cost (that things cost more here) into the formula and therefore we are shortchanged on the aid we receive. The Plainedge School District should receive $ 9 MILLION MORE DOLLARS PER YEAR IN STATE AID. This would immediately lower your property taxes.
I have been trying to get this changed as co-Chairman of the Plainedge Tax Relief Association. Remember last year the letters we wrote; the phone calls we made and the petitions we signed! Do we want to do that every year? Do we want to have to fight tooth and nail every year for the school budget to pass or do we want to have to raise $500,000 plus dollars every year for sports? I assume the answer is no.
However, this is only going to change if the state aid formula in Albany changes. I will have the ear of the new governor (probably Eliot Spitzer) on this issue. The minority members of the Assembly will not. I will work tirelessly to make this happen.
The reality is that I don't need this position as a job as much as I need this position to get this done! I hope I will have your support on election day. Remember, my NUMBER ONE PRIORITY IS TO LOWER YOUR PROPERTY TAXES.

I would like to thank those in the Plainedge community that supported me throughout this campaign. While I did not win this race, I hope that the message that the state aid funding for education MUST change has been heard.
I will continue to fight for this cause that I am passionate about as Co-chairman of the Plainedge Tax Relief Association and working with the County Executive's committee of school districts. I will also try to use my connections that I have made with the new Governor's people and others to move ahead on this cause.
I may have lost the battle, but I have not lost the war!
Thanks again.
Craig Heller
