What about the people that ran last year that didn't win:
Felice Cantatore and Steve Lassman
Any interest expressed from these two candidates for this years open spots?

Go, Felice has been a presence at the meetings and has clearly shown he has passion and the constitution that many of us posters feel is necessary to fill the position. He has guts and is not one to be bullied,… or charmed for that matter. By all accounts the other gentleman mentioned is a fine family man, a good neighbor and is most likely kind to animals as well. Alas, you might as well have referred to Claude Raines. Not once have I seen or heard him at a BOE meeting, step up to the mic, and ask any question, let alone an “irritating” one. I strongly believe the best predictor of future behavior is past behavior. An irresolute personality is not what this board needs at this time.

Does a candidate need to run for a specific seat? It would seem to make more sense to me if we have two openings that we simply vote in the two best people for those openings and NOT for a specific seat (ie Douglas' position or Loretta's seat).

Go,
Rules were changed for this year.
If two positions are open; the two candidates receiving the most votes are in.
Three positions up; the top three.
And so on.
Its a better system IMO.

Interesting,
If this years rules were in place last year, Drum roll please: ...............................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................................
Sorry no intrigue here.
There would have been no impact on the outcome of the elections.
The top three vote getters were:
Capone.............3037 Fox ...................2346 Presuto.............2279

I agree this is the better system and could not understand why it was voted in a few years ago when it was changed to that. I do think that the total votes is not an true indication of how the popular vote would have turned out last year. If you have two strong candidates going head to head with each other they can split the votes to a close contest where as if it was just total votes among all of the candidates that won't happen. I felt that Felice would have been voted in last year if he did not have to go head to head with a particular canidtate. IMHO

I tend to believe that if the good Dr. R was to find out Felice is running, he would PERSONALLY BANKROLL THE CAMPAIGNS OF 12 OTHER CANDIDATES..... probably all from EASTPLAIN !!!!!!
IMHO.......

Wildrover, You had me stumped, and I have to admit that I had to do a google search...but I found it...Claude Raines...The Invisible Man...very clever. Don't know if I should admit that...I may be the only one who didn't know who he was!

I'm thinking the good Dr. would be smart to start counting his pennies. Based on the inaccurate budgets we have received in the past, I would say counting (accurately) is not one of his strengths.

Patriot, I spoke with all 3 presidents and they are all on board. All meetings are at 7pm. All names and numbers are in the calendar.

can you send me via email the dates of the meetings?
also if the pta's can canvas their members as to what issues they would like to discuss that would help is providing an agenda for the BOE members invited.

He has guts and is not one to be bullied,… or charmed for that matter. I agree. However, my guess is that Felice, like most of us, may not have the time to put into this. I'm certainly not speaking for him but simply speculating based on when his website was last updated. Certainly not faulting him, as I would like to see him run again if he has the time.
