About two years ago the Eastplain PTA was collecting money to purchase a new playground.
Does anyone know what happened to that project? What happened to that money that was already collected? Will there be a time that this will start up again to complete the project?

i believe it is in a bank account that was set up. the efforts stalled and supposedly was to be re-started at a later date.
I know the group had a treasurer. I would email the EP PTA president for an update since we all kicked in some cash.

The last PTA meeting it was announced that we received a large grant from our representitives. Don't remember the exact amount but it should be a nice new playground. Sorry, didn't take notes. They also spoke of the left over money from the money already raised. It should go to the playgrounfd after the grant money is spent. If anyone remembers the exact details of what was said please post.

Playground installation is well underway.
Sadly, I noticed the tree that we spent so much money on to move (and has since died) has been removed and replaced.

Hey Go Plainedge!
Check your facts...there was no cost to the school district to move the tree...that's just an inaccurate rumor going around....
remember...pray for the victims...Peace out

{sigh} Once again, you're wrong. It was part of the construction costs....thank you! So if you believe there wasn't a cost....ahh nevermind. You're not worth the effort.

I just purchased a new car....the tires were FREE but I paid $75K for the rest of the car.
Brilliant logic as usual jdavola. At the very least, your comments always give me a good laugh...thank you.
Oh yeah....that extension I just put on my house? The wood was free, I just paid $150k for labor?
I guess you believe it was free to cut it down too.
Get real and stop lying to the people of this community...as usual.
