I learned recently that next year, there are going to be nine periods in a school day. By cutting off three minutes in each class and one minute off each between-classes time, they've added another period to the day.
In my freshman year I voiced my concerns about the 8 period day to Mr. Amster, and for two years I gave up lunch in favor of education. Instead of taking all the courses I wanted to take in High School I'll now need to pay and consume my time with them in college.
That makes me kind of angry, not as if I'm not excited for all the students who aren't seniors.
I know you're all pretty much parents of the students, but I wished to let you all know.
