It was another nice opening day at JH West. Great weather lots of families and smiling faces on all kids.
Thanks Plainedge Sports!

I agree. It was a beautiful community gathering. Are there any Audio people in the community who will be willing to donate some equip. to improve the sound quality?

The only real problem was that they started a little too far away from the wireless receiver and that there appears to be a short in the channel switcher, but still it was a great opening day
Good Luck Bobcats!

I was at both this weekend, Bobcats and Soccer. Great turnout at both which goes to the strenghth of the sports clubs and their ability to oranize and get out the vote. Was nice to see P'Simer and the board show up .... It appeared that their hearts are into it unlike the last regime.
I did not however see our AD, did anyone?

I did not see the AD but I did see Shaver the HS Football coach at Bobcat Opening Day. That was good to see. We need as much coordination as possible between the club sports and the School sports. It makes for a better overall program.

I agree. It was a beautiful community gathering. Are there any Audio people in the community who will be willing to donate some equip. to improve the sound quality? I think that can be arranged. I would also like to see the people that are speaking (or singing the Star Spangled Banner) on the field be on a platform or stage. They are hard to see from the bleachers. They sort of blend in with everyone else on the field and I think thats why people start to leave too early or lose attention. The guests presenting checks or awards should be on the sidelines at the 50 yard marker. This way they don't have to walk too far. ....not criticism, just ideas to help the day run more smoothly.

Has anyone heard ANY information about the 8th grader and his "HIT LIST"? My son came home from school yesterday and said that he was going to kill everyone and that no one was going to school today. Im sure the school is taking care of it but i don't understand why the parents haven't been notified.

Hi MOM- Check the post today It is under "Threat at Middle School"--- For you answers to your questions. As you can see, this only happened yesterday and an investigation was immediately begun. It is unfortunate for that student to have made that comment. Goes to show, we need to teach our kids to be extra careful when saying something. They did take it seriously from what was noted. They acted accordingly. Also- rumors spread like weeds- next time, go right to the source and call the school. That is what I did and they were very helpful.
