Something about Opening Day for Girls Softball that always seems to draw bad weather.
Saturday would have been a great day to play, but the left over moisture from Friday night and newly turned fields left us with sponge cake instead of fields. Thanks to the grounds crew at JHW, they got the fields in shape for us early Sunday morning, and for the assitance from our helpers, we were ready to play.
Sunday came and the cold just didnt let up at all, but the Juniors and Seniors girls roughed it out and played some great softball. Farmies girls started their season on April 1st, and the Peewees hit the dirt for their first games on April 11.
It was really exciting seeing everyone back on the field, along with some new faces, and here's lots of luck and best wishes for a great season for all of Girls Softball.
