Newsday has been running stories about the prices of fuel oil. I thought it might help all of us if we post the prices that we are paying.
The last delivery I had was 2 days ago. I have been buying from Rapid Oil in Amityville for the past 2 seasons. I just got 205 Gals. at $1.83 / gal. You can buy cheaper if you buy more gals. This is a higher price because the price breaks at 225/250 gals for most dealers. Of course this is a COD Dealer.
Contracts for service "Lock" you into certain prices. These COD Dealers also do the same services, just had a cleaning and filter done for $69.00. Emergency 24 hr services are also avail. from a lot of dealers at a very good savings.
PETRO tried to bill me for a year when they NEVER delivered oil OR serviced the burner. After I got pissed,... I found more people with the same problem. Check your bills, AND buy COD.
If you find this of interest respond to this thread.
