With so many layoffs world-wide and so many government agencies cutting back, it appears that the theme of 2009 is "Do more with less".
Will the 2009/2010 budget proposal take on that theme as well?
Many union contracts nationwide are being renegotiated to incorporate that theme. Many people are without jobs and the number of "For Sale" signs on front lawns is increasing.
I can't help but feel that a 6%, 7%, 8% increase just won't work this time.
This budget MUST be lean and mean. I know I will be in the minority here with many devout Vote Yes advocates. However, past history has shown there is plenty of fat in the budget and the administration side that can be adjusted/reduced.
More with less.
